Explore New System Features - Patient Access Staff

Note: A menu will display at the beginning of the course for users that have been assigned a Clinical User (nurse) or Provider (physician) CBL. Once you select your role, the updates that pertain to you will be displayed.

Updated MSPQ Will Require Fewer Clicks

You will be able to complete the MSPQ faster using the new form. The questions will appear on the same page and you will be able to use speed buttons to quickly answer questions.

  • If a response to a question requires you to gather more information, additional questions will appear.

Work Smarter With the Refreshed Document List

You will be able to use the updated Document List to add, view, and edit patients' documents. If the right information doesn't appear automatically for new documents, the Edit button can be used to update it. The wrench can be used to change columns.

Look for Appointment Request Instead of Orders

Schedulable orders will be referred to as appointment requests in scheduling activities.

  • Instead of schedule orders workqueues, look for appointment request workqueues.
  • Instead of the Orders tab of the Appointment Desk, look at the Active Requests and Finalized Requests tabs.

Edit Appointment Statistics Will No Longer Be Available for Canceled or No-Show Appointments

Users who submit Chart Correction cases using help desk requests will get automatic In Basket messages about their request's status so you don't have to notify them yourselves. Check the Storyboard to see if a requester wants updates and if any messages have been sent.

Once the upgrade is complete, assistance will be available 24/7 from Sunday, June 28 through Thursday, July 2 by calling 2+EPIC or emailing UChartHD@med.miami.edu.
