UChart Modules

Please find below an overview of each of the UChart modules.


ADT stands for Admission, Discharge, Transfer. ADT is a critical part of the entire organization’s system because this is where the key information and status of all patients is managed. This module covers the hospital registration and insurance functions.


Ambulatory is used in all Outpatient clinical areas, and combines chart review, order management, and documentation in a fast system that can learn your preferences while you work. It organizes patient information, suggests actions, and guides coordinated care across physical care settings.


Anesthesia provides clinical documentation tools within the perioperative areas. It is integrated to streamline documentation workflows across roles. Anesthesia provides dedicated support for documentation of pre-op evaluations, pre-admission testing, intra-op care, recovery care and post-procedure care – including inpatient follow-ups and post-op phone calls.


ASAP application is used to support patient care in the emergency department. It supports workflows for ED staff by streamlining the tasks they perform every day, connecting them with upto-date clinical records, and by easily tracking patients as though move through an emergency encounter.

Beacon allows physicians create oncology treatment plans based on standard protocols and make treatment decisions guided by comprehensive decision support. Treatment plans that are in Beacon are based upon best practice guidelines and research. Each physician presented relevant literature and research to support the protocols in the system.


Cadence is the Epic scheduling module for Outpatient and Specialty clinics. Scheduling staff will use Cadence to book appointments, then check you in on arrival. This also allows physicians and other staff to see the schedule for the whole clinic, or just for their own patients.


HIM stands for Health Information Management. This application comprises of actions for maintaining the integrity of the patient's medical records. HIM includes, but is not limited to, coding, release of information, deficiency tracking, and clinical documentation improvement.

Inpatient ClinDoc

Inpatient ClinDoc is designed to help all nurses and ancillary medical staff manage all patient records electronically. It supports workflows for all inpatient (hospital) staff by streamlining daily tasks for them, as well as giving them access to up-to-date outpatient clinical records.

Inpatient Orders

Inpatient Orders is designed to help providers manage all patient records electronically. It supports workflows for inpatient (hospital) providers by streamlining daily tasks for them, as well as giving them access to up-to-date outpatient clinical records.


Kaleidoscope enables device data capture and guides image-intensive ophthalmology documentation workflows. This system allows the specialty content for Ophthalmology to enhance documentation for office visits and procedure.


OpTime improves surgeon productivity, schedule utilization and perioperative documentation in both inpatient hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers. OpTime includes tools for all key perioperative processes including scheduling, preference card management, pre-op assessments, surgeon documentation, and procedure records.


Radiant combines tools for rules-based scheduling, documentation, results communication, chart/film tracking and detailed statistical reporting in a unified system that is fully integrated with Epic’s clinical systems. Radiant allows clients to link images and reports with a single system that can be accessed simultaneously by multiple users in multiple departments.

Resolute Billing

Resolute Billing is Hospital Billing and Professional Billing with portions of the Revenue Cycle combined. UChart uses hospital accounts for professional charges so you can see both professional and hospital balances in a similar manner. The hospital account displays information about the charges, payments and adjustments for the visit, as well as information about any claim that are sent out.


Willow is Epic’s Inpatient medication ordering and administration process, which links pharmacists, ordering physicians and nurses to a single order record. Pharmacists can monitor medication treatment and improve medical outcomes, improving patient safety, minimizing adverse effects and helping control costs.
